My family is filled with wonderful gardeners. My dad created a 'Food Forest' in our yard and we always had citrus, pomegranates, figs, peaches, fresh vegetables, fresh chicken eggs, and other things to eat.
I have attempted to contine the legacy and have adapted with a temporary North Texas rental property using containers modeled after Leon Sloan - owner of Leon's Greenhouses in Kinston Oklahoma. He uses wicking tubs and and his videos can be found on YouTube. I lean towards the no-till/minimal till method and organic fertilizer but have been caught using 13-13-13 on occasion...
Other online mentors I continue to learn from (not in any particular order....). Most have an amazing amount of videos/info on Youtube.
